Aeronáutica SDLE presents its Elevable Information Unit at Desei 2018

Aeronáutica SDLE will participate at the VI edition of theSpanish Congress on R&D in Defense and Security (Desei + d), taking placein Valladolid at the Cavalry Academy of the Army on 20, 21 and 22 November. Recently named Innovative SME for its advances on armored vehiclesmodernization and unmanned aircraft manufacturing, the  company will present its Elevable Information Unit (UIE) loaded on vehicle. It is an aerial system with ground power designedto improve the operating range of vehicles, both land and marine.

The UIE can be deployed and collected from a vehicle. It has been designed to get an higher vision that allows to anticipate obstacles and avoid them while sending the images taken by the camera shipped on the unit. This way, the system increases the situational awareness of the mother vehicle in which it is integrated.

The unit can be integrated into military vehicles providing a perspective of the terrain much greater than the one known so far. To facilitate its integration, it has an adaptation kit to be deployed from different kind of land vehicles.

The information collected by the sensors can be watched and sent in real time from an integrated control station. The unit, which will remain vertically on the vehicle and can move forward when it is in motion, incorporates electro-optical and infrared sensors (EO / IR), stabilization system and geolocation to track targets, although it can always be customized according to needs.

Autonomous adaptation control

The system has an autonomous adaptation control module to allow the autopilot on board and the on-board sensor to automatically regulate the control parameters during the flight. The system is self-regulated according to the force exerted by the wire, the movement of the vehicle and the weather conditions.

The processing units and control algorithms are configured to maintain the position on the vertical of the vehicle at any time, being able to configure its parameters on the platform and making internal adjustments on the controller and the UIE in real time.

The operator will have full control of the unit and will be able to drive it from inside the vehicle on the deployment, mission and recovery phases. The UIE can be used as well
